The Lore

The Sirius sector's underworld has shifted. Synth Foods, long seen as a legitimate corporate giant, is now secretly running Cardamine on their ribbed carriers. The local police forces have been bought off and are turning a blind eye to the operation.

However, the secret is out. Bounty Hunters, Universal Shipping, and the Corsairs are actively hunting down these corporate smugglers. The Outcasts now back Synth Foods, while Universal Shipping and the Corsairs have formed a rival commercial bloc. Outcasts and Universal Shipping will engage each other on sight.

Two remote markets anchor the conflict: the Synth Foods OW Hub in Omicron Alpha and the new Universal BW Market in Omicron Gamma. Between them, hidden apertures turn Colorado and the Border Worlds into the hottest freight corridor in Sirius.

Mod Features

The Smuggler's Loop: A new Cardamine smuggling wormhole loop connecting Omicron Alpha → Texas → New Berlin → New York (with a return hole hidden behind Detroit Munitions).
The Diamond Lane: A fast-track, one-jump route between Omega-5 and New Tokyo.
New Black-Market Base: The "Synth Foods OW Hub" in Omicron Alpha. Functions as a Zoner Freeport clone, buying and selling Cardamine and Light Arms.
Universal BW Market: A Universal Shipping outpost in Omicron Gamma built from Trenton Outpost's station design. It buys and sells Alien Artifacts for 66 credits and Luxury Food for 242 credits.
The Denver Run: A hidden two-way jumphole links Colorado directly to Omicron Gamma. The Colorado aperture is concealed behind Planet Denver; the Gamma endpoint emerges close to Universal BW Market.
New Border-Worlds Economy: Alien Artifacts are legal cargo, while Luxury Food is contraband. The secret Denver route favors fast food smugglers without making the legal artifact trade artificially dangerous.
Faction Blocs: Outcasts and Synth Foods are allied. Corsairs and Universal Shipping are allied. Outcasts and Universal Shipping are at war, while the existing anti-Synth hostilities remain intact.
Ship Overhauls:
- Valkyrie: 9800 hull, mounts 5x class-10 weapons, Sabre core, 175 hold.
- Humpback: Massive 25k hull mine-brick with 616 cargo hold.
- Others: Buffed holds for the Mule, Dromedary, Sabre, and Titan.
Lethal Arsenal: The Screamer/Ripper mine has been buffed to a top-dog 6666-damage seeker with a speed of 99.
Quick Start: All new characters start with 500,000 credits and neutral reputation to all factions.

The Border Worlds Market

Universal Shipping has established a permanent foothold in Corsair space. The market serves legal artifact traders and contraband food runners from the same remote station, but the risk profile of the two cargos is deliberately different.

How to Connect

To join the server, you must have exactly the same mod files installed as the host. Follow these steps:

Install Freelancer HD Edition and Freelancer Mod Manager (FLMM) 1.31.
Download the current mod from Nexus Mods using the link above.
Open FLMM, go to File → Open Mod, and select the downloaded .flmod file.
Close Freelancer and FLServer, then activate "Cardamine Run" in the FLMM list and wait for the green check.
Add -s[SERVER-IP]:2302 to your Freelancer shortcut target, or find us in the multiplayer server browser!

Important FLMM path check: opening a .flmod through another application can make FLMM fall back to the original Freelancer directory. Before activating, confirm FLMM is targeting your actual Freelancer HD Edition installation. A successful activation into the wrong directory produces no visible changes in the game you launch.
